- A Mercy Group is a small group that exists to demonstrate God’s mercy to each other and the community through discipleship, fellowship, and service.
What is the structure of a Mercy Group?
- A Mercy Group consists of 6-12 members
- A Mercy Group will meet weekly for Bible study, prayer, fellowship and encouragement. (Meeting weekly ensures a good rhythm. Also, if someone must miss for any reason, they are only apart from the group for two weeks as opposed to a month if the group meets every other week. However, with this said, groups do have the ability to take breaks as warranted. For example, maybe they would like to take December off because of business or parts of the summer, or a few weeks after finishing a specific study. There is flexibility)
- A Mercy Group is structured around a mercy expression that they will engage in regularly (i.e. outreach to immigrants and refugees, providing opportunities for church family connection, encouragement to retirees, etc. the possibilities are limitless)
