Hello, friend!
We have chosen Isaiah 30:18 as our namesake (“mercy”) Bible verse, to reflect the heart of the message we aspire to proclaim and exhibit as a congregation: “Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts Himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.” This verse begins with the declaration of the good news of God’s desire and work to restore a relationship of mercy and grace toward people. The Bible tells us that this is the opposite of what we all deserve, for “there is none of us who is righteous, no not one; we have all turned our backs on God to go our own way.” Nevertheless God has exalted Himself by providing a way of reconciliation and restoration between Himself and sinful people. This He did by sending Jesus Christ, who triumphed over evil, sin and death, in love giving His life and thereby rendering justice on behalf of all who will trust in Him, and securing for these a future of eternal blessing together with Him in paradise. The best news ever! Oh, how I pray that you believe it!
Grace and peace in Christ!
