Ecclesiastes 3:1 – For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.
Ephesians 5:15-16 – So be very careful how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Whatever “season” of life in which we find ourselves, Christ calls us to “redeem the time”–to “rescue” it from being wasted and lost, to make the best use of it, in every season.
What an unprecedented opportunity the present “season” presents us! The social isolation mandates have imposed upon us much more “alone time,” slowed us way down, and kicked us out of many of our deeply-entrenched ruts. Oh, may we make the most of this truly unique “season” into which God has brought us!
What changes would the Lord bring about in your life during this special time? How would He have you invest the precious present of enforced alone time, for maximum profit? How might you capitalize on the blessing of imposed slow down, for most benefit? How should you leverage for greatest advantage God’s gift of dislodging you from entrapping ruts? Oh, brothers and sisters, let us not come to the end of this once-in-a-lifetime season and find that we have wasted it!
With whom will you converse today about what you each hear God saying to you about “redeeming the time” of this present season?
